Q1 Raw Cashew Nut Market Update – 2025

India’s Raw Cashew Nut (RCN) market held steady throughout Q1, driven by unexpectedly strong demand—a rarity during the typically slower summer months. This stability was further supported by delayed and average local crops, as well as increased domestic processing capacity, which continues to absorb available supply.

Globally, RCN prices are easing at origin, but this softening hasn’t translated to the Indian market due to multiple supply-side constraints:
• Export ban in Burkina Faso
• Weaker second crop in Ghana
• Average quality arrivals from Côte d’Ivoire (IVC)
• Delayed shipments from Togo

In Vietnam, market sentiment remains cautious amid ongoing trade war concerns. Although a 90-day pause on tariffs is currently in place, any resolution could trigger an upward price movement.

While prices remain stable for now, global uncertainties and logistical delays suggest that volatility may lie ahead.
